We had our first AKC Agility trial over the weekend. Tuck had a goopy eye on Saturday but not out of the ordinary since he has a history of allergy eyes.

By Sunday afternoon as we readied for our last run, he was looking at me and squinting with his bad eye. Clearly the light was bothering him.

We got home around 4 and he napped most of the evening. Of course, being the hysterical doggie mom, I was on the phone to the Vet first thing this morning.

We saw his favorite Vet in her new practice around 11 and she did the drops and black light, no scratches but tissue around the eye was infected and swollen. She sent us home with drops. His ears looked good, everything felt fine, temp was normal but even she (we live in the same town so she sees Tuck a lot) said he was not acting himself.

He's been a bit mopey and sleeping a lot, of course velcro'd to me. His Vet suggested using the drops 2 times a day until Thursday and if he isn't acting himself to bring him back and we would do blood tests.

His eye looks better and he has moments of normal (rough housing with Lulu), he scarfed his dinner, and barked act the motorcycles going by the house.

So I'm hoping he gets back to his goofy old self tomorrow.

I agree, nothing truly is worse than a mopey Corgi. Hope that his eye heals quickly.

Hope your eye feels better fast {{{{Tucker}}}}.

Monty had 'stuff' coming out of one eye last Thur, when I cleaned it there seemed to be an acutual piece of dirt(?) in it that I wiped away. Our Vet has me keep drops on hand for her as the was born with a tear duct that clogs from time to time. By Sat afternoon her eye had cleared up thank goodness. I was thinking that I would have to call the Vet and see if I should give her the drops that were prescribed for Dylan's eye problem the other week when the kitty bopped him.

Monty & Dylan say be better fast Tucker, we know how you feel.+SAD+

Poor Tucker - we hope he's feeling better today and is back to his normal self!! It's always scary when they act all sucky and mopey - that's when you know they are feeling pretty lousy.

Rupe says to put on a eye patch and a bandana and get out there and do some swashbuckling - whatever that is!!

Susan, how is Tucker doing this morning?

I'm wondering if some insect couldn't have gotten into his eye and infected it. I suppose allergies could cause this too, but with all the "buggies" out there, sometimes just a gnat can reek havoc with your eyes. Hope little Tuck is 100% better before the day is through.

Susan,

I hope Tucker's eye is better soon. Cody had conjunctivitis last summer in one eye which he caught from Doggie day care - within a few days of giving drops, it was much better.

Hope it looks better for you today.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Tucker seems 100% better today.

My puppy sitter is doing a Mom's day, hanging out with her sisters and her Mom and since her dog Charlie howls when he gets left behind, I invited him out to spend the day with us.

So when Lulu got us up at 6 a.m. (on my VACATION...) I told Tucker Charlie was coming to spend the day. Well the zooming from window to window went on until about 9 when Charlie got here. They've been playing in the yard and we just came back from swimming.

Charlie has learned to dive off the dock so Tucker runs down back up the dock and into the water to meet him.

So he does seem much improved. I am hopeing naps are next on the agenda.
