Had to take Sooty to the vet this morning. He woke up unable to open his left eye and as he has a History of eye problems with two operations three years ago to remove non-healing ulcers I was straight down to the vet.

No ulcer thank goodness, a scratch in the corner- probably came from playing with Cindy. He is on ointment and pain killer- had to laugh though as our vet is Italian( and his partner is German) and as he was explaining how to use the pain-killing syringe, I thought he said I was to put it in his foot? I said 'what did you say? His Foot?' and he laughed and said' no, his FOOD'

Which one is Sooty? I hope everything clears up really soon. I hate it when my dogs are sick. I'm worse with them than I ever was with my kids! (sorry, Cheryl!)

Sooty is the black-headed tri- he will be 10 next month. You would never say so- he bounces around the place like a 5 year old-

And the vet's partner is German so that could add some extra misunderstanding
Funnily enough we tend to see him( Italian) with Sooty and Her(German) with Cindy- no appointments needed just the way it turns out when it's your turn. That's what I like as with three surgeries a day they are available at most times
