Linda, WOW! That list is unreal! We knew about some of those but the list just kept going and going! We have a bunch of oleander in our backyard and knew to keep Ace away from it but I had no idea that some of our potted flowers were toxic as well. Lucky for us Ace does not seem interested in our plants. Although he just loves to eat the bean pods from our mesquite tree. We looked that up right away last year when Ace started eating them and they are actually healthy - protein!!

That pretty much covers everything I've got in the yard except grass!

Linda,
Thanks for posting the lists - I'm going to print out that first one.
Since researching new foods due to all this recall madness, I've been studying herbal additives to dog and cat food. Not all lists of poisonous plants seem to agree upon what is toxic and what isn't. For example, while both of the above links list yucca as toxic, only one lists alfalfa. According to the vet homeopath who moderates the Catwell list, neither should be present in cat food, as they are toxic. But a lot of highly regarded cat food (Serengeti, by Timberwolf Organics, for one) includes both herbs in their formulation. And yucca schidigera is present in almost all pet foods.
Speaking of recall madness, I am closely watching how this latest recall from Natural Balance plays out. Their Ultra Premium formula is one that I added to both Trevor's and the Siamese Girls (aka the Blue-Eyed Devils :D ) food rotation! Arrgh!! I think you mentioned in one of your other posts that you had one of your senior kitties on the venison formula? How is he/she doing???

Deb,
I did talk to Natural Balance yesterday, and it is only the Venison/green pea for cats and Venison/brown rice for dogs (dry kibble for both) - I was a Petco last night and both were removed from the shelves. Strange thing is there no wheat in these products so the person at the company said they don't know what is going on, but have received some complaints about vomiting and kidney problems and decided to do a voluntary recall and she said they are not associated with Menu foods. I was feedng this to my cats and Cody for the past 8 -10 months with no problems.
I sort of freaked when Colcolt posted it, because actually 2 of my cats eat it, senior one and my other younger one who has IBD(inflammatory bowel disease) and this food helps to control the symptoms. I honesty don't think this has anything to do with my senior cats issues, although I just bought a new bag and mixed it in with the old, so I just threw it all out.
In the mean time, I had some Royal Canin Green peas and Duck that I can use/not what I really want to use, but it will do until I find something else and I think California Natural has a couple of choices for cats with allergies that I have to look into.
And that poisonous plant list is long and I noticed that not all sites had the same plants mentioned and I think the one I gave mentioned which parts of the plant/flower, but lots of those plants, I would never recognize.
