Crush finished her championship this weekend with her third major at 6 years of age. We didnt get Crush until she was 3 1/2 and had been pretty much ignored for most of her life....She had been shown a little bit as a puppy and had a few wins and points including a breed win over specials.
When we got her she was very over weight and nails really long. We worked hard to slim her down, let her have one litter to satisfy our contract and then worked on getting her finished. She is a very very sweet girl that is our bed dog and couch potatoe. Yea Crushie!

Congratulations to Champion Crushie! You have every right to be proud to have brought her from her overweight, long nailed days to this.
Oh and Ziggy said, "Couch Potatoes, Unite!" Then he rolled over and went back to sleep -- on the couch.
Congratulations!!!!

Yeaaa mom! After all I think she was the best mom ever, nursing so long. She gave us a very affectionate pup. She was kind enough to swipe Chester's rawhide and let him know he wasn't getting it back!, as we didn't want him to have it in the car last year's trip home.
Six year old, wow. And probably clever as ever, any more chicken stealing from the refrigerator?? Still jumps?
How is she on nail trimming? Tolerates it?
I'll miss seeing you all this summer.

Well yes she did do one thing this last trip that made her lose her loose in the trailer while no was is there previleges. We had gone over to karens Parent RV, that was parked next to us at the shows for dinner. Crush and Journey being the good girls that they are were allowed to stay loose in the trailer and lounge on the couch...We heard a bang during dinner but didnt know where it came from. When we went back to the trailer, Crush had jumped on the couch, then up on to the counter top to see if she could find any food (none there), and managed to knock off two bowls we had drying on the counter...So for now she has lost unsupervised freedom in the trailer.
As for nails, we use the dremel and she knows she has to behave or she gets in trouble.

Congratulations on the Championship!! Did she get an extra treat in spite of the trailer misbehavior?

Chester would say "see I inherited it" as he hasn't EARNED loose on the 1st floor while I'm upstairs. I can grab a towel, but any longer, he goes looking for trouble.
