Off to Pixels first show!

We are heading off to Pixels' first show tomorrow. She had a bath and was beautified last night and was none to happy about it. I have a feeling this pup is going to hate water come summer!

But she survived and once she was bribed with a few cookies seemed to relax for the rest of the grooming.

I am pretty excited for her- she is a very confident, happy little pup so I am sure she will have a blast. Unfortunately there are no other Cardigans entered. Which sucks, but is not surprising. How quickly I was reminded why I don't do Conformation!

Regardless we are still going- it will be a great experience for her- she'll get to go in the Group Ring with the big dogs!

Wicca is entered in Rally both days- she should have no problems and it will be neat to get back in the ring with her! We haven't been in an obedience ring since she got her CD almost three years ago!

I'll be sure to ask my friends to take photos of Pixel in the ring for you all to see!

Good luck! She is awfully cute. A friend of mine has two Cardi pups for sale- she thought she had the litter all sold and the buyers backed out. I am glad I have too many dogs or I'd be SO tempted. Except if I ever get a Cardi I want a black and white.

How did our little girl do? Did she knock all those big herding dogs in the Group's socks off? Inquiring minds need to know!

We had a great time- Wicca did amazing- two great scores- a 95 and a 96, and a 2nd and 3rd place out of over 20 dogs. I had a few forgetful moments...but we still did great. I was very impressed with her heeling and attention.

Pixel was a little star- and was perfectly behaved all weekend. She did great in the ring and looked very grown up in that big ring all by herself! I was very proud of her- she did great on the table, and with the judges. Of course being the only cardigan she got to play in the group ring- so we got lots of great ring experience.

Overall I was very impressed with the girls. Pixel learned about how fun a ring can be (we played lots before, during and after) and Wicca didn't get stressed in the ring. That is pretty much what I wanted out of the weekend!
