Hi all,
I got home last night to a sad message on my answering machine, from a woman I don't know. Apparently, she either knows or met my dog walker somewhere. She has a 6 year old male corgi that she can't keep anymore. I don't know all of the details, as I have not called her back yet.

My plan is to give her the contact info for:
Mayflower Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club
Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Garden State
and I will also check the PWCCA website to see if there are any other rescues in the area.

Just wanted to ask the veteran rescuers if they know of anyone else in the NY area that I can put her in touch with, or if there is anything else I can/should do to help her? Unfortunately, my townhouse complex has a ONE DOG rule, so I can't take him even temporarily. So I am trying to do everything else that I possibly can.

Thanks!!! +WUBCLUB+

You can also tell her to go to http://www.pembrokecorgirescue.com and fill out the contact form there. These forms go to the Corgi Rescue group and will get her information to the right people.

Fingers and paws crossed that it works out for everyone.

That link

http://www.pembrokecorgirescue.com is the brainchild of Millie Williams. She has links to rescues, stories of dogs available, and links to picnics to benefit CorgiAid. It's a great place to start for all kinds of information.

I hope everything works out, too.

And thanks for posting that link, Bobbie. From time to time, messages are posted to local Corgi Meetup group, concerning a corgi needing rehomed, etc.
The posters are always referred to the local (SoCal) rescue, but this would be another resource.

If there wasn't a "One Male Only" limit in my house I'd scoop him up. Hope he finds a great home soon though!
