A. How often do you brush/groom your corgi?
B. How often do you give your corgi a full bath?
C. Nail trimming?
D. Hints/tips that you have found work for you and yours?
I brush Montrose & Dylan once a week, (almost) faithfully.
Baths, only when they need them, usually twice a year.
Their nails, I have the Vet do them, normally every 6 weeks.
In between baths I use a wet cloth, or unscented baby whipes to keep them looking tidy. Also, here in BC we get a lot of rain, so the puppers are getting showers quite often. Two already today.
And your corgi's grooming schedule is?

I take Cody in for a bath/nail trimming and they also trim around his feet, about every 6 - 8 weeks - I have someone else do it; I know, I am spoiled; but when he is getting his beauty treatment, then I go shopping:BIGGRIN".

A. How often do you brush/groom your corgi?
Every day. >@_@<
B. How often do you give your corgi a full bath?
Once per month, unless he gets unusually dirty (mud, etc.)
C. Nail trimming?
Once a week, unless they need it more often.
D. Hints/tips that you have found work for you and yours?
I use three different brushes - the Kong Zoom Groom gets rid of dead guard hairs, Long undercoat rake for detangling/removing loose undercoat hair, slicker for for smoothing/getting any loose hair left.
Those grooming scissors are HUGE! I use cheapo thread stripper scissors from wal-mart to trim Shippo's feet lmao... They look similar to this, and they are <33333333

I would say we only actually brush/groom our really well once a month or so. They have a short coat and just don't need much more. Groom my floors daily though LOL.
Baths... about twice a year unless they decide to let me know they need an extra by getting really dirty for me.
Nail trimming... I do this myself and I "try" to do it once a week. Most times I think it ends up actually being every other week.
They each get a super grooming, then bath, then another comb through while wet... and another super grooming after they have dried each time they get a bath. This really helps get all the extra hair out well. Still haven't found the miracle brush that actually stops shedding though LOL (don't we wish!).

A. How often do you brush/groom your corgi?
Every two weeks
B. How often do you give your corgi a full bath?
Whenever they get dirty or before a trial-usually once a month or so...
C. Nail trimming?
at least once a week- sometimes twice.
D. Hints/tips that you have found work for you and yours?
I bath them with cool water (helps to loosen hair) then dry them with the force dryer- this blows out a ton of dead hair and cuts down on the shedding for a while. Then I use a fine/medium tooth comb...it takes a while but it does a great job. For my shepherd who has a thicker-longer coat the mars coat king works amazing...I have used a furminator aswell and found that it took tooooo long...I have the patience of a corgi!!! :CUTE:

Past tense, groomed monthly except living in warm climate with fleas, then weekly. With new puppy we hope to do a comb down every day, I have the zoom comb on order.
Bath - every 3 years, she hated the water! Spit bath with a wet washcloth (legs & tummy) after a walk daily during the summer dust when the white paws were gray. No one has white tennis shoes here for long. Her coat was gorgeous not having a bath with her natural oils.
Nails - every 6 weeks with the dremmel.
Tip - We used a pan to put water in and had Pepper step in (unwillingly) when the mud was packed in her paws.

A. How often do you brush/groom your corgi?
B. How often do you give your corgi a full bath?
C. Nail trimming?
D. Hints/tips that you have found work for you and yours?
A. I try to brush them quickly once a week.
B. They get a full bath every two to four weeks - almost always after a trip to the dog park (sometimes they just get a hose-down after the park).
C. I try to trim a foot per week on each of them! That way I don't have to try and hold them down for long. If they are going to the vet, I have them do it.
D. I like the Shed Ender for Rhys's coat (it's thicker than Andy's). Gets a lot of dead hair. And I get Rhys's "pants" trimmed at the groomer's about once every six months. He's getting it done (hopefully) next week.

A. How often do you brush/groom your corgi?
Dillon and Gus get combed and brushed twice a week. My living room rug gets vacuumed either every day or every other day the rest of the house can go three whole days (woo hoo)
B. How often do you give your corgi a full bath?
Dillon and Gus get a bath around the 15th of every month... i wait two days after their front line top spot treatment and then it is bath time! They sometimes get their undercarriage sprayed in the sink when they come back from really muddy walks.
C. Nail trimming?
Once a week and toehair trimming is once every two weeks.
D. Hints/tips that you have found work for you and yours?
The only thing i suggest is to start very young, right when a puppy comes home, mess with their feet, put your fingers inbetween the toes, pull gently on the toenails, so they get used to these sensations, make it postive and never back down. same with the mouth, get them used to having a finger rubbed on their gums and putting your hands in and around their mouth. I started grooming dillon the second day he came home.
oh and you forgot teeth- I was brushing teeth daily, Still do Dillon's every other day at this point, but with Gus having his break out of pemphigus on his lips this most recent breakout, it looked too painful to get a toothbrush in there, so i let him go a week...I am trying to brush teeth daily as i do see it makes a big difference. Gus's pemphigus breakout is still around his mouth so i have to be very very careful not to hurt him.

A. How often do you brush/groom your corgi?
Jackie gets brushed daily
B. How often do you give your corgi a full bath?
Every 4-6 weeks. I am addicted to the feel, smell and look of a freshly bathed fluffy.:CUTE:
C. Nail trimming?
We dremel 2 paws every weekend (alternating between front & back).
D. Hints/tips that you have found work for you and yours?
The above nail trimming / grinding schedule has really worked for us. She just has to sit through 5 minutes of nail grinding and she gets a brand new granola bone, not too shabby of a deal for any of us! I also keep a spray bottle of water and a towel by the door, in case she comes in with muddy paws. Easy and quick way to de-mud them.
Other grooming:
--> Teeth brushed daily
--> Toe hair trimmed monthly
--> Fluffy Pants buzzed / trimmed monthly

One thing that I learned about bathing. If you put a wee bit of the shampoo on a puff, instead of on the dog it goes a long way and is much easier to rinse out.

Do you all toe hair trim?
I never did because I figured the hair is what enabled Pepper to walk on ice at 6 months. We did have to use the goo be gone when pine sap got on one paw, but otherwise she had no problems with her untrimmed hair paws.
I love the idea of rotating the paws each week for trimming, then it isn't an ordeal for both!

Both mine get their paw hair trimmed. It keeps them from slipping on the floor, keeps their pads drier, and clean from bits of this and that in the yard and on the road.
Also if the pads are covered with hair and don't get hardened up, they can get soft and are able to get cut etc easier.

 I thought I was the only person who said this! My friend laughs when we go to the dog wash station at the park and I say "I'm just going to rinse Andy's undercarriage."

Tana, the "undercarriage" word came about becuase we used to call Dillon "low rider" (after the song by "war") so going along with the car theme, his underbelly is his undercarriage LOL!!!
Funny that others call it that too!

I wasn't going to ask this and show ignorance but, I'll never know unless I ask!! what is a "puff", Barbara? Is it one of those lacy things women use to take a bath with? Some of us Southern boys don't have a lot of couth.

Never thought to use one of those for The boys.. I just lather them all up by hand...hmmm , i might have to get them a poof of their own next time i head out to the store... Thanks for the tip...
and David, don't worry, my if it weren't for me being around, my husband wouldn't know a poof from a loofah! ( he likes the good old washcloth instead of all these "fancy" things) LOL!!!

My hubby and I STILL argue about loofah vs poof. I call ANYTHING that is scrubby and fluffy a "loofah", he says a loofah is ONLY the scratchy rolled pad loofahs.
I call the plastic puffy things loofahs too. Although, I SUPPOSE he is more correct than I am: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/loofah
But don't tell him I said that. :TWITCHY:

Brush about every 2 weeks with 3 brushes. Once a week during blowing season.
Bath's about every 2-3 months as needed. I really like using the Kong Zoom Groom to scrub them it really helps to lather them up as well as removing more hair.
Nails about every 6 weeks. Darci naps through her pedicure and Egan doesnt care for it as much. Trim Toe hair during pedicures.

I aim to groom every day, but generally fail. She usually gets around three brushings a week. I use a bendy toothed metal thang (I've forgottent the name just now - put it down to synaptic lapse...) and a Zoom Groom, as they are the only two things she will tolerate without sooo much windging and whimpering on her part that it becomes a "Mummy is cross" session. If she needs a bit of extra to get any random climps out, a human comb comes in handy. *Cue: whimpering.*
Bath - routinely three to four times per year, or as required. Generally, she isn't a smelly dog at all, unless the dreaded rolling occours. When she does that and comes inside, I say to her "What have you been doing?" and she goes straight to the bathroom and sits in the furtherest away corner with that hang-dog look on her face. Sometimes she gets a quick wash down with a flannel or a wee squirt with the hose if her undercarriage gets a bit muddy.
Claws never get clipped, as she wears them down OK on her own on the concrete.
When I do need to do the bad-Mummy groom, I use a spray thing called "Precious Pet"
http://www.essentia.co.nz/Precious_pet.htm
It is a New Zealand company, but there is possibly something more local. This stuff is just brilliant and makes the whole grooming thing a lot easier. I'm careful to cover her eyes, though, with my hand when I spray it on. Just in case...

Speaking of grooming, Rhys is getting his butt trimmed on Thursday! I'll try to post a before and after picture.
Today was just the final straw - I had to wipe his booty after our poopy walk this morning - his pants are just way too long to handle any semi-soft stuff. "NO:":
Andy and I will have to find something else to do while he is at the groomer's. She is not as fuzzy as him and her little pants are perfect. :CUTE:
I just got a furminator yesterday, I'm actually excited to use it! I usually brush Millie when she needs it, less in non-shed season, more in blow-out season. Nails get trimmed frequently in warm months, less in winter. I usually clip the butt fur where needed and trim toe fur too. I prefer to do all this stuff outside when possible. Baths are as needed, tooth brushing I do pretty much once a week, but should do it more. Link will probably fall into the same schedule.

Please let us know how you like the Furminator!
I've been wanting one, but besides them being so expensive, I was worried that it might cut/break a corgi's guard hairs.

Barbara,
I LOVE my furminator. I use it on the cats and it does a great job. LOVE it. They don't, but they hate being brushed period.

My kids get brushed when they have so much hair coming off their bodies I can't stand it.
We trim toenails every week and pads every week. Our agility instructor said that dogs need hair free pads to be able to "grip" better on contact equipment. Teva hates having her nails done, so if I can I take her to my groomer for that (thank goodness she is very reasonable with her prices!).
Bath - every 6 weeks if they need it or not!
Tip - bag balm on cracked and dry pads at night when they are tired so they don't lick it off.

Ada gets the short end of the stick when it comes to grooming... I've groomed professionally in the past, so I developed an intense dislike of dirty dogs. My other two dogs (Dobermans) are some of the cleanest dogs I've ever met, the dirt falls right off, they dry in minutes, and actually clean themselves!
Sooo... enter a lowriding, longer haired, partially WHITE dog... poor Ada!
She gets a bath whenever she gets dirty. And, being that this is Iowa and it's summer... that means she gets a lot of baths! If her undercarriage gets dirty (which it alays does) she gets plopped in the tub and rinsed off with a very diluted, mild shampoo.
Another carry-over from the Dobermans... I'm obsessed with short nails. And when I say short, I mena *reeeealllyyy short*. Ada's nails were never cut back as a puppy like the Dobe nails were (when they were out for cropping), so it's been an uphill battle to keep them a length I'm happy with. She usually gets her nails fiddled with every day or two. To hair gets trimmed weekly, or whenever it starts looking funky.
As for brushes, I use a Zoom-Groom type brush, a comb, and a slicker.
I mean yeesh, can you see his little stubby nails in thios photo? Poor Ada will never catch up!

A. How often do you brush/groom your corgi?
I try to remember to do it at least every couple of weeks. But I finger comb her daily.
B. How often do you give your corgi a full bath?
Daily (LOL)!!!! She plays in the swimming pool on a daily basis. As for real baths, she has only had 2 that I used shampoo on her. She just isn't a dirty dog.
C. Nail trimming?
This I try to keep up with - every two weeks I take her to PetsMart for a nail trim.
D. Hints/tips that you have found work for you and yours?
Since she hasn't "blown" her coat yet, I just use the furminator on her if she looks a little bit woolly. Other than that, she gets her back and legs thoroughly rubbed by my fingers. I use baby shampoo on her and her coat just gleams - if you do this - make sure you rinse at least twice. Baby shampoo has a habit of not rinsing out completely with just one rinse.
