I have to share awesome news!
Thank you everyone for your advice on helping my "heavy" corgi.
I can happily say that after a summer of wading in the kiddie pool and some short walks, Ellie can finally go on her old walks again, and she loves it !!!!:BIGGRIN"
I cant take her every day, but about 3 times a week we go for a half mile walk. She is walking so much better and she doesn't drag behind. [she has also been a part of Marley's leash training-- "don't pull marley, let's not drag ellie"]
She has sooo much more energy, and seems much happier. So thank you again everyone for your advice and encouragement.
also, a Marley update. After his prolapse surgery, neutering, and cryosurgery (for the undescended testicle), I feared that his urethra was closing, and he went back to the surgeon 2x a week for 6 weeks to be cathedarized. (needless to say he hates the vet now, and i dont blame him at all...) But he is finally going normal, and is all healed up. He will be 11 mo on sunday, and should have hit about the 150-155lbs mark.
But i'm sooo psyched about ellie. She jumps all around the house to go on her walks now. :CUTE:
