Oct. 2nd is the official date of Colby's "tutoring".

We showed up at the Vets and Colby went crazy today!!! Barbara, please tell Danny to stop giving Colby tips on being a crazy puppy! He's never really acted like this until the past few days... I'm going to password my Skype, just to make sure those 2 aren't telling secrets across borders late at night! (either that, or the cats are conspiring against me too and giving Colby hints!) :TWITCHY:

Anyway, just about took my arm off to get IN the door, realized where we were and did a 180, ripping my arm off to get OUT the door. Had to carry him in and coax with treats. Then he wouldn't sit still on the scale... wiggle wiggle wiggle, sniff sniff excited! His temp was a bit elevated, but the Vet saw his escapades in and out of the office from her window and said she'd expect nothing less! :TWITCHY:

Long story short, Colby is 9.1kg or 20 lbs now, going to be 6 mos old on the 27th of this month and is in perfect health!! If not quite in perfect obedience...

Oh! And I found a treat Colby LOVES!! FINALLY!! He will do ANYTHING for cat treats!! (the crunchy shell, soft centered ones that stink!!)

Ah yes... the infamous kitty treats. My dogs love those as well... I've used them with many dogs for training treats.

As for the vet... wellllll... some dogs don't mind it there..and I work real hard at making sure to take them when I can just to walk them in the door and give them treats... still, it doesn't always work.

As for the OB... I blame the cats... I just don't buy that little ColbyJack could ever be willfully disobedient... HAHA!

20 pounds - unbelievable, little cute Colby growing up. Is 6 months 26 weeks or 24 weeks? I'll email the breeder who said to add 10 pounds at 6 months, but I wondered about the Vet point of view.

Chester had such a positive experience at the Vet's is added reason to not have him neutered there. The Vet isn't all that skilled neutering wise because he mentioned bleeding in the area of neutering. So I call him the well-health Vet.

Maybe Colby realizing what he barreled into was the Vets, might cause him to approach more cautiously - nah, he's a puppy.
